Integrating President's Badge (2007, Method B) with Duke of Edinburgh's Bronze Award

The President's Badge may be gained via the Duke of Edinburgh's Bronze Award in the following manner:

Participate in a non-residential (teamwork skills) training course. run by the Battalion or Region.

Participate in a Christian Faith development course.

Perform 10 hours practical service for the Brigade or Church.

Plan, prepare for and undertake a 2-day, 1-night venture.

An additional 3 months activity must be undertaken in one of these sections

Maintain a good attendance record for a minimum of 1 session

NB This guide relates to the 2007 President's Badge Regulations (valid from August 2007).  The 1983 President's Badge Regulations will remain in force until August 2009 to allow for transition to the new awards.  Details of how to integrate the old regulations with DEA Bronze may be found here.

Notes

  1. See also Method A for President's Badge  in lieu of Bronze DEA in above tables.

  2. There is no registration for the President's Badge.  Bronze Award holders joining the Company later on may undertake the additional requirements and gain President's Badge in one session without first gaining all the Company Section Awards.

  3. If doing both awards concurrently, the above President's Badge requirements (in particular, the Brigade Service element), if done over a period of 3 or 6 months could form part of the DEA Bronze Sevice Requirements.
