The committee comprises Advisers from the three participating Battalions, the Queen's Badge Coördinator, the DEA Coördinator, the Expeditions Coördinator, the Completion Course Coördinator, the Chaplain and the Adjutant.

    General enquiries or Comments for Queen's Badge and/or Duke of Edinburgh's Award can be sent to the entire committee using this address: ela@queensbadge.org.uk (this will result in a fairly quick response - and will likely yield a number of replies) but specific enquiries should be addressed to your own adviser wherever possible.  Expeditions enquiries - see below.

Note that we have separated the position of Queen' s Badge Organizer into two distinct rôles (viz Queen' s Badge Coördinator - responsible for Administration of the Queen' s Badge within East Lowland Area; and Training Coördinator - responible for the planning and delivery of Completion Courses).  It is hoped that by dividing tasks in this manner, the best possible service can be aforded to Companies and Candidates.  In most matters, the QB Coördinator should be considered as the equivalent of Queen's Badge Organizer for ELA.

    Advanced Awards work in the East Lowland Area is divided into six Zones for administrative purposes.  Each zone has it's own Adviser, but the work is often shared within and across Battalions - Queen's Badge Candidates' Conferences are normally run at Battalion level, and Candidates may be visited by any adviser.  If you need advice urgently, and your own adviser is not available, please contact one of the other ELA advisers in your Battalion, or a neighbouring zone.

• Specific Expeditions queries (for DEA or QB) should be directed to your own Adviser in the first instance.  
  If you need advice urgently, and your own Adviser is not available, contact Mr Stuart Dalgleish, remembering to keep your Adviser informed.  Mr Lindsay Stein will act as his backup.
• If you are planning an expedition, you are asked to notify the Expeditions Coördinator, so that if possible, additional Candidates may be placed with you.
• If you require an expedition, and your own Company has insufficient Boys / Expertise  -please contact the Expeditions Coördinator, who may be able to help you find a place with another Company.
