The Queen's Badge
The Queen's Badge is the highest award in the Boys' Brigade. Candidates who have already gained their President's Badge work for typically 1 - 2 years both at a personal level, and in Service in the Company and the wider Community before, at the Captain's recommendation they attend a Completion Course where their work is assessed.
QB Candidates

If you have recently registered, but have not yet attended a Candidates' Conference, please take some time to read through the regulations and consider what options you will take.  If you don't know when the next conference is to be held, contact your Advisor, who can tell you when the next scheduled conference is, or arrange to meet you individually or with others from your Company.  If you're keen to get started - 'phone your Advisor to discuss your plans.  He'll be happy to give you some pointers to get you going!  Please also read the guidelines.

Note that time is of the essence!  Many activities require a long-term commitment - so you should plan your work carefully (even if you plan to do over 2 or more years).

The next ELA Completion Course is at Carronvale 18..20-Apr-2008.  The price of the course will be £50.  All Books, Forms and Payment to be returned by 09-Mar-2008.  For bookings received after this date (if there are places available) the cost will be £55. Note that the course is often very busy, and that places for ELA Candidates cannot be guaranteed after the closing date.  Please remember to notify us in advance of any special requirements you may have, and bring your Consent Form with you to the course.

The next ELA Queen's Badge & DEA Certificate Presentation is Wednesday 4th June 2008, hosted by Scottish Borders Battalion.  All in the Area who have gained Queen's Badge or Duke of Edinburgh's Silver or Gold Awards are invited to attend - as are any "external" candidates at the Area's Completion Course.  Any Millennium Volunteers Certificates gained by those present will also be presented.
