Crown Green Bowling

What is it?
The aim is to get the wood as close to the jack as possible. This programme is designed to encourage participation in Crown Green Bowling and to develop an understanding of all aspects of the sport.

Safety Message
Participants should be made aware of the dangers involved in 'striking'.

Ideas/Aims
• Know the Laws of the Game, published in the Handbook of the British Crown Green Bowling Association.
• Understand the scoring system.
• Receive coaching.
• Seek membership of a bowling club.
• Enter competitions.

Review/Assessment
The reviewer/assessor should ensure the young person has a sound understanding of the sport, including the Laws of the Game and the current 'dress' code. The participant should show improvement in playing Crown Green Bowls.
