Lacrosse
What
is it?
Lacrosse is a field game, which is played in teams. It is played with a ball
and a net, which is attached to a stick. The aim of the game is to score points,
by shooting the ball into the goal, from the net.

Message
Participants should receive appropriate training in the safe use of equipment,
and should wear the correct clothing and footwear
Ideas/Aims
Have a sound knowledge of the laws of the game. Attain a reasonable standard
in the basic skills of lacrosse, in order to participate and compete in a
serious game. Be able to keep score of the game. Show knowledge of the care
and maintenance of equipment. Compete in matches. Show skills and an improvement
in your standard of play. Develop an appreciation of tactics and positioning
play. Be selected and play in a team, which has proper fixtures.
Review/Assessment
Participants should demonstrate their knowledge of the rules of the game,
and should discuss with the assessor any fixtures, which they have played
in, and the results of them. The participant should show that he/she knows
how to care for the equipment necessary to play the game.
