Medau Movement
What
is it?
Medau is a method of teaching exercise and movement in which the needs of
the participants are addressed, whatever their age or ability. At a reception
level, classes include work on all the fitness factors as well as the development
of harmonious, whole body movement skills.
Safety
Message
The teacher will be aware of factors such as slippery floors, adequate ventilation,
no trailing electrical leads and adequate space for all participants to move
freely. She should also be aware of participants' specific disabilities or
medical conditions. Comfortable stretchy clothing should be worn, and students
should preferably work in bare feet. All classes contain suitable warm up
and cool down techniques.
