Stoolball
What is it?
Stoolball is a team sport, which is played
either indoors or outdoors, with the use of bats and a special ball. It develops hand/eye co-ordination,
participant's catching skills and the ability to hit the ball with the bat.
Participants should receive appropriate
coaching before playing the game.
· Develop knowledge of
the rules of stoolball.
· Attain a reasonable
proficiency in the basic skills of stoolball, in order to participate and
compete in a serious game.
· Develop knowledge of
the care and maintenance of equipment.
· Show skills and an
improvement in your standard of play.
· Develop an
appreciation of tactics and positioning play.
· Be selected and play
in a team, which has proper fixtures.
Participants should show the assessor the
skills, which they have developed while participating in the game, and should
demonstrate their knowledge of the rules. The assessor should make sure that
they understand any safety aspects of the game, including the use of equipment.
